the effects are all in the box! they are all pretty decent to my ears, especially the distortion and the reverb. I recently picked up a Tangerine, which is great as well. having that kind of sample polyphony in such a small package has been a great addition to my live setup.

@@rbeny I am super impressed as you know effects pedals can reach high prices. This little gem has it all. Ideal for ambient and it seems to be capable of sounding like my Lyra8 with all the space sounds. All in the size of a packet of cigarettes. Just amazing. Thank you for your video and replying.

it never made it to an official release. I may try to make another version of it someday. but life and all that y'know.

so it's been a while, but from what I can gather Clouds (in looping delay mode, with a lower audio quality setting) is actually providing a lot of degradation and warbliness (and noise). Magneto is also excellent at warbles, but the feedback degradations are a bit different to Clouds in looping delay mode. Magneto's feedback sound can be a bit cleaner.

@@rbeny thanks for getting back to me! Ah yeah ok. I like to use Clouds in looping delay mode but don't think I've ever got it sounding as nice as you do! Is that with a frozen buffer? Or just using it as a standard delay?

nope! I usually make my stuff so it sounds okay if it's not synced.

hey there, so the custom units I had up would be pretty outdated at this point, only able to run on the 0.2.xx firmware. custom units now have the extension .unit or .pkg (pkg meaning it would be available as a regular unit and not just a custom unit variant). @@rbeny got it to load properly and now my issue is cant get sound out of it. i have a vairiable speed player working with audio playing when i bypass the ultraviolet unit but as soon as i turn bypass i have no sound. i applied a gate to the trigger thinking that might be it but still nothing...thanks again for replying earlier...baby steps i guess. LOL

@@supright44 it's been a while since I've had the ER-301 racked, I'll try to check it out soon. gate to trigger or turning density up would be two of the ways that you should for sure hear the granular effect. but you should hear the dry signal going through the unit, depending on the dry/wet settings. just to check, which ER-301 firmware are you using?

hey there, thanks for the kind words. I can't exactly remember what I had going on here, but I'd guess the main melody was unquantised or at least had a low percentage. the delay was definitely off grid, I usually just adjust the time until it sounds good to me.

my videos were usually recorded very quick and off the cuff, whereas I like to meticulously craft my album tracks. I also did not properly record the audio for a majority of my videos. I've thought about making properly recorded versions for some of my videos, but time keeps marching on and I can't seem to slow it down no matter what I do.

correct. 100% lemondrop with internal fx. granted, this is a sampler, so it doesn't generate sound on its own outside of the VA oscillators which can't be granulated.

I'm alive and well. priorities in my life shifted, but I'm still making music. I don't know if I'll ever be active on UA-cam again, but never say never.

the only time I use the pitch knob in looping delay mode is with the buffer frozen. the pitch shifting with the delay buffer still open can sound a little funky, but sounds great once a loop is frozen. I do use the pitch knob with an active buffer in the granular, time stretching, and spectral modes though.
